Dug Nugget is a four piece acoustic band that calls Vancouver Island home. Their high energy, ruckus brand of folk music can range from traditional to unconventional. Guitar, stand-up bass, banjo, drums, and some wicked vocal harmonies drive gritty songs that tell tales of hard times, low-lives, and local lore with up-beat rhythms and a sense of humour. With a simple approach – all acoustic, no effects, no self-indulgent solos – their songs are fun, fast, and made to entertain. These are four friends that love to play music together, and their infectious sound is going to have you stomping your feet ‘til the taps run dry.
